Wildlife photography has faced new challenges in the last decade since faster film cameras, digital techniques and high speed HD videos were introduced. Nevertheless, photographers have a better chance to capture immortal moments in nature. Bence Máté is young wildlife photographer always looking to be pioneering in his work. As winner of the “Veolia Environment Wildlife Photographer of the Year” in 2010 at the age of 25 he has produced a magnificent collection of images many of them are considered a masterpiece.

He always goes for the most interesting moments, actions in the life of birds, his most beloved subjects. But he has a very good eye to see other creatures like ants or snakes: the secret life of leaf cutter ants living in a wet rainforest in Costa Rica is completely shown in one image like a shadow theatre while another image depicts the extraordinary duel of a tiny hummingbird and a viper. Grey Herons, owls, starlings, cuckoos and foxes are photographed by Bence Máté always from a special point of view to uncover unique moments of the private life of these animals. The exhibition is a collection of his best images.
